Building a New County Jail – Safety and Fiscal Responsibility
Hood County’s current jail is outdated and inadequate, compromising public safety and straining resources. Bradley supports constructing a new, modern jail to enhance citizen safety, improve operational efficiency, and better serve our growing community. His plan ensures this critical project can be completed without raising taxes by leveraging strategic budgeting and prioritizing taxpayer dollars. A new jail isn’t just an investment in safety—it’s a commitment to responsible stewardship of your hard-earned money.
Improving Roads and Transportation
Efficient transportation is vital for Hood County’s growth and quality of life. With the US 377 expansion set to begin in 2026, Bradley will ensure this project stays on track to alleviate congestion and improve connectivity. However, more work is needed. Bradley will prioritize expanding key local roads like Old Granbury Road to enhance safety and accessibility for residents. By planning proactively and allocating resources wisely, we can build a transportation network that meets our community’s needs today and in the future.
Transparency and County Reform
Hood County deserves a government that operates with openness and accountability. Bradley will work to reform how the county functions by implementing zero-based budgeting, requiring every department to justify its expenses from the ground up. This approach eliminates waste and ensures taxpayer dollars are used effectively. Bradley will also work to end the misuse of accounts like Fund 55, which have been treated as slush funds for poor planning, and halt wasteful spending on unnecessary studies. Transparency isn’t just a promise—it’s the foundation of the Republican Party platform and good governance.
Strengthening Public Safety
Strong law enforcement and fire services are the backbone of a safe community. Bradley will champion increased support for our county fire departments and local law enforcement to ensure they have the resources, training, and equipment needed to protect Hood County. While some in leadership have fallen short in prioritizing public safety, Bradley’s focus will be on proactive, community-driven solutions that empower our first responders to keep us safe.
